Alright, I don’t know what happened to Johnny Cueto tonight. He saw his ERA go up by almost 75 points as he gave up nine runs on five hits and three walks in just 2/3 of an inning. Two of those hits left the park. Unfortunately it didn’t stop their and the pen proceeded to give up 13 runs the rest of the way.Paul Janish was left to the wolves in the ninth and he gave up six in the eighth. The final was 22-1 against the defending champion Phillies.
Oh yeah, the Reds picked up just five hits. The lone run came on a Johnny Gomes home run in the second inning. Nobody reached base more then once.
It’s Aaron Harang tomorrow and he’ll go up against J.A. Happ. The loss pushed the Reds back below the .500 mark and to throw salt on the wound, the Astros are probably going to move up tonight into a tie for fourth with the Reds.
