Reds Follow Rest of Division With Another Loss

The Reds haven’t been winning much, but they’ve still managed to hang on to their 3 1/2 game deficit because nobody in the Central is playing particularly well.  Last night, the Reds opened up their series with the Indians by getting squashed 9-2 and it was ace Aaron Harang who got pummelled.  He gave up seven runs (five earned) on ten hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Johnny Gomes had a pair of hits and he drove in a run in the loss.  Brandon Phillips doubled and he scored once.

Homer Bailey gets the nod again in his fifteenth chance at sticking.  He’s pitched pretty well down in Louisville, so hopefully he’ll finally be able to put something together for the Reds.  Tomo Okha gets the nod for the Indians.
