No Offense, No Win

You think I’d be used to this by now.  We are two months into the season and it’s not like the hitters have been lighting things on fire.  Stll, five hits against isn’t going to cut it and that’s what happened last night.  Heck, Albert Pujols drove in as many runs by himself then the entire Reds lineup.

Brandon Phillips doubled and scored a run in the loss.  Laynce Nix singled, drew a walk and drove in one.  Bronson Arroyo was touched up for five runs in 5 1/3 innings and while the pen did a nice job (namely Jared Burton, who threw two shutout innings), it wasn’t enough.

So we’re even at 1-1.  Tonight it’ll be Johnny Cueto going up against Kyle Lohse.  Cueto’s been good so hopefully he can keep it up.
