Bronson Arroyo Picks Up First Win, Cardinals Go Down

At least he didn’t go winless in April.  Bronson Arroyo improved to 1-3 on the season with a nice start as the Reds took care of the Cardinals 4-3.  He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks and he struck out six in six innings.  Kudos to the pen.  Francisco Cordero was one of three relievers to throw shutout frames and he picked up his fourth save of the season.

Edwin Encarnacion doubled twice and drove in two while the Dunnster went two for four with a walk, a run and an RBI.  That puts Adam back over the Mendoza line.  E squared is off to a nice start if you count his hitting.  He also made his eighth error of the season.

Johnny Cueto gets the nod tonight.  Joel Pineiro throws for the Cardinals.
