The Reds and Pirates combined to score 23 runs on 28 hits as the Reds came out on top in a 12-11 win. Adam Dunn, Ken Griffey, Jr. and Christopher Dickerson all homered for the first time this spring. Drew Anderson tripled, singled and drove in two runs and Griffey’s shot was a two run blast.
Aaron Harang was touched up for two runs but that was least of the problems because Jim Brower and Matthew Maloney were each tagged for four runs.
Bronson Arroyo gets the start tomorrow against the Jays. A slate of relievers should also see innings as starters are still getting in just two innings.
