Bronson Arroyo Wins First Game Of Year; Plague Of Locusts Behind Fourth Seal
May 2nd, 2007 | Thaq Diesel
Hopefully Arroyo’s first win ISN’T a sign of the apocalypse but it did seem like it would never come. I’m sure when Arroyo was pulled in the 8th, he said to Narron, “Surely even THESE bit#$es can’t blow a 10-run league. Can they? Jerry? I’m asking you a question here…” Arroyo threw 65 strikes out of his 95 pitches and threw a three-hitter.
- The team is hitting on all cylinders right now. Dunn is hitting homers at a great clip. Griffey actually played today and hit a home run with three total hits. Alex Gonzalez is playing out of his mind right now at the plate.
- Josh Hamilton should win April Rookie Of The Month hands down. We’ll find out tomorrow.
- Davey Concepcion will have his number 13 jersey retired July 28th in Great American Ballpark. He played from 1970-1988 and was part of The Big Red Machine. I always remember his one-hop throws to first off the astroturf.
- The Reds are third in the National League in ERA (3.55) behind the Giants and Mets.
