Pete Rose’s Big Day at the Plate Leads Reds Over Giants

September 19, 1976 at Riverfront Stadium 

Reds 5, Giants 2  (96-55)

Pete Rose doubled three times and led the way for the Reds in their series ending game agains the Giants.  Rose scored twice and drove in a run. 

Gary Nolan held the Giants in check with seven quality innings.  He gave up two runs on only three hits with a walk and two strikeouts.  Rawly Eastwick held the Giants scoreless in the final two frames and he earned his 24th save of the season.
