Dan Driessen and Tony Perez Hit Homeruns in Reds Win Over Braves

September 3, 1976 at Fulton County Stadium

Reds 10, Braves 5  (85-50)

The Reds ran up the score on the Braves in their 85th win of the season.  Dan Driessen hit a big three run homerun in the eighth that broke a 5-5 tie and Tony Perez went yard with a two run shot in the ninth to give the Reds some extra insurance.

Jack Billingham was pulled in the second inning after giving up two runs and six hits.  Pedro Borbon didn’t fare much better, and he gave up three runs on four hits in five innings of work.  Rawly Eastwick picked up his tenth win and pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game.
