Joe Morgan Leads Reds to 80th Win of Season

Reds 4, Cubs 3  (80-45)

The Reds edged the Cubs to win their three game series.  It was the Reds 80th win of the season.

Joe Morgan had a big day.  He went three for three with a homerun, two RBIs and a run.  He had three of the Reds four hits.

Santo Alcala was knocked out of the game after only three innings, but the pen picked him up.  Manny Sarmiento three four shutout innings to improve to 3-1 and Rawly Eastwick shut the Cubs down in the ninth to earn his eighteenth save of the season.
