Reds Winning Streak Ends at Seven Games Because of Lack of Offense

August 4, 1976 at Candlestick Park

Giants 4, Reds 1  (69-39)

The Reds seven game winning streak came to an end as their offense was held to a single run.  The Reds standed 10 batters and matched the Giants with nine hits, but they just couldn’t get the runs across the plate.

Gary Nolan took the loss and dropped to 10-6.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings of work.
