George Foster and Doug Flynn Lead Eighth Inning Rally, Reds Top Braves

July 25, 1976 at Fulton County Stadium 

Reds 7, Braves 6  (61-26)

The Reds came from behing to win their four game series over the Braves.  With the score 6-5 in the eighth, George Foster homered to tie the the game up, then Doug Flynn drove home Johnny Bench with a sac. fly to give the Reds the lead.  Rawly Eastwick then held the Braves scoreless in the eighth and ninth to earn his eleventh save of the season.

Gary Nolan improved to 9-5 on the season in a shaky start.  He gave up six runs on ten hits and one walk with three strikeouts.  Foster drove home two runs and Pete Rose hit a lead off homerun to start the game off.  Johnny Bench went two for three with two RBIs and a run.
