George Foster Hits Reds to Blowout Win

April 17, 1976 at Riverfront Stadium

Reds 11, Giants 0  (5-2)

The Reds got back on track by blasting the Giants and starter Ed Halicki.  By the end of the first inning, the Reds had four runs and they never looked back.  Joe Morgan, George Foster and Ken Griffey all homered and Foster drove in four runs.

Lost in the hit barrage was a four hit shutout by Fred Norman.  Norman struck out five and improved to 2-0 on the season.
