George Foster Homers Reds to Win in Pitching Dual

August 2, 1975 Reds 1, Dodgers 0 (70-38)

The Reds edged the Dodgers in pitchers dual to win their 70th game of the season. Tom Carroll threw a very solid game as he went 6 1/3 and gave up seven hits. Clay Carroll was even better as he pitched 2 2/3 perfect innings to earn his fifth save of the season.

The lone run came in the top of the fifth on a homerun by George Foster. Foster had two of the Reds four hits.
