Padres End Reds Streak With Four Hitter

May 8, 1975 Padres 3, Reds 0 (16-13)

It was one of those games. The Reds got hits in the second and fifth innings, and had both baserunners erased with double plays. They finally got their first base runner into scoring position in the seventh when Joe Morgan singled and stole second. Then in the eighth, it was more of the same when they got their fourth and final hit, only to see a third double play.

A nice start by Gary Nolan was wasted. He went the distance, giving up only nine hits and three runs.
